Once Ulaunchelf is loaded it will give you a few options. With your USB drive in it, Swap Magic should automatically load Ulaunchelf.Ģ. Remove your USB stick from your PC and insert it into the ps2Ĥ. rename BOOT.elf (Ule's default name) to SWAPMAGIC.elf.ģ. Download ulaunchelf, and copy all of the folder's contents into a folder on the root of your usb drive (yes, it's case sensitive) SWAPMAGIC.Ģ.
Magic Switch Pro v4 (probably already installed, have tool a in a position in which you can remove and insert it at will) or Flip TopĪ real PS1 game that has a big TOC (table of contents) I suggest a Final Fantasy or A Demo Disc.ġ. One nice thing about this method is that you'll NEVER have to do a swap while a disc is spinning, so your discs won't be damaged by constant repetition of this method. It may not work with normal slims and a few fats (some have an extra legitimacy check at a certain part of the PS1 bootup), but it's worth trying. I know it works with SPCH-9000x super-slims and most Fat PS2s. It'll work for burned games, too, if there's something ridiculously expensive you want to give a go without emptying your wallet like rakugaki showtime or something. There is a method I've used many times to load other-region PS1 games. I've been working with PS2/Swaps for quite a while.
If I could find a good tutorial just how to use HD Loader not actually install it that may be what I need to get these questions figured out. I tried to copy a few games and they all just hang and I give up after an hour or so. I'm not really into owning illegal copies of games I don't own anyway so they have to go. On a final note (not as important yet), how do I save my PS2 games to the HDD? There is a bunch of crap on there I would love to delete and add my games I own.
I would think there must be a way to get this Intelligent Qube Final running. Like boot from hard drive (which there are a bunch of games installed on), and some more swap magic versions (2 of them), cog load, and a bunch of other stuff. When I boot my console up it automatically goes to a ELF screen and I have a bunch of boot options. I noticed looking online it says you need a USB drive for some ELF tool. But swap magic just says insert a PS2 disc. So I purchased Intelligent Qube Final because I thought swap magic would load this up. I also have a copy of swap magic lying around. It has a flip top and HD Loader 0.8 installed. I purchased a PS2 Fat Model on craigs list for $20.00 the other day. I searched the forums but all the info seemed old.
